Experience Our Wildlife Encounters

OUR ACTIVITIES

Wildlife Encounter is an active conservation program that is dedicated to ensuring a secure future for the magnificent African Lion species. It is also Africa’s first program to ethically introduce the offspring of captive-bred African Lions into the wild.

By joining our Lion Research and Rhino Safari, or volunteering with us, guests will gain in-depth knowledge of our lion rehabilitation and release into the wild program, as well as providing essential funding for the program’s continued progress to help save Africa’s most iconic species.

Lion Research Safari

During your visit, our experienced guides will introduce you to the pride’s members; give you information about the Release Program and our broader efforts in lion conservation, as well as the work we are undertaking with our communities. You will also join our research team from ALERT who are studying the behavior of these lions in great detail. From this you will gain a fascinating understanding of the inner workings of a lion pride.

An exciting stop during this Safari is a chance to walk in the Zambezi National Park, accompanied by an experienced Ranger, with the chance of seeing another one of Africa’s Iconic animals, the white rhino.
