Guests are collected from their hotel/lodge in Victoria Falls town and transported to Wildlife Encounter where our friendly hospitality team will be waiting to welcome you. Our professional guides will give you a safety briefing as to what you can and can not do during the interaction. After that you are ready to go. At the end of the interaction, we will show you a short film (7 mins) about our lion release program and related research, community and conservation projects that we support.

Lion interaction is an awesome activity designed to give you a brief yet comprehensive opportunity to learn about the lion species as well as get some fantastic photos – and memories! You will be accompanied by our guides and handlers, and you will meet our young cubs in the bush. During the encounter, you will get the opportunity to observe them closely as they learn and explore the bush, see how they play and interact between themselves and generally be lion cubs! You get to have a chat with our knowledgeable guides who will answer any questions you might have about the lions, their habitats and behaviour.

The interaction is done with the same lions that are used for the lion walks. They are in the first phase of our lion programme.
